ABOUT THE JOB
As a Quantitative Researcher, you will be a key contributor to our efforts to identify and develop valuable investment intelligence. You will be responsible for researching market data, building statistical models, and conducting fundamental research. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your analytical and quantitative skills to the challenging and rewarding world of quantitative finance. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual with a passion for quantitative research and a strong understanding of financial markets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Conduct independent research on financial markets to identify potential valuable investment intelligence.
- Develop and implement statistical models for predicting asset prices and market behavior.
- Collaborate with other researchers and engineers to refine and improve our investment intelligence.
- Write research reports and present findings to the team.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines for collecting and processing financial data.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research in quantitative finance and related fields.
- Work with large datasets and sophisticated statistical tools.
- Contribute to the development of our research infrastructure.
- Implement and test new signals and algorithms.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's or PhD degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Financial Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Strong programming skills in Python or R.
- Solid understanding of statistical modeling techniques, including time series analysis, regression analysis, and machine learning.
- Experience working with financial data and financial markets.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience conducting fundamental market research.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with high-performance computing.
- Knowledge of specific asset classes (e.g., equities, fixed income, derivatives).
- Experience with portfolio optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with financial regulations.
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals or conferences.
- Experience with big data technologies.
US SALARY RANGE
- 100K-180K
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of 10K10Q's total compensation package.
